Orange You Happy Starting again in August

Our monthly Suicide Prevention Event where we give out positive affirmations and referral information on the UCF Main Campus.

Location: UCF Main Campus between Classroom Building 2 and the Psychology Building along the Memory Mall.

Orlando Veterans Day Parade November 10th from 10:30am to 1pm

March with us in the City of Orlando’s Veteran’s Day parade to show our support of Veterans and their wellness.

Location: Downtown Orlando

50 volunteers are needed from 10:30am for staging until we finish the route around 1pm.

Project Cheer Donation Collection Aug.- Dec.

Volunteer day to make cards and pack up gifts end of December.

Help us bring Cheer to those receiving crisis mental health treatment in the hospitals over the Holidays. We will be collecting donations for the gift bags, creating handmade cards, and putting together over 200 gift bags to be delivered to the hospitals.

Out of The Darkness 5K February 2, 2019

Join us as we table at this powerful event and 5k for survivors of suicide. It is a time to show compassion and support as we share information about our programs and walk to show our support.

The Art of Happiness TBD

Our annual art event where we invite peers to express their passion and journey through art and invite the community to support them and vote on winners. We need volunteers to help with the structure and flow of the event

NAMI Walks 5k Date TBD late April or early May

NAMI Greater Orlando hosts an advocacy 5k and community event annually. Join us as we table to share information and walk to show our support.

Interested in your own Volunteer Opportunity? We are constantly in need of positive affirmations with our agency resource on it to hand out at our events. If you have a group of 10 or more we can coordinate an holding a volunteer opportunity at your location or ours It would take 1-3 hours depending on joint availability Yasmin Flasterstein at YFlasterstein@mhacf.org.
