Since 1946, the Mental Health Association of Central Florida has been the leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and promoting the overall mental health of all. This mission is supported by the Association’s commitment to promote mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention services for all; early identification and intervention for those at risk; integrated care, services, and supports for those who need them; with recovery as the goal.
On May 21, 2021 we will recognize and celebrate the Association’s 75th anniversary at our Annual Legacy of Champions luncheon. A noted community event for the past 10 years, this year’s luncheon will be hosted by Orlando Sentinel columnist Scott Maxwell with a noted keynote by renowned Journalist and Author, Jane Pauley.
Additionally, the prestigious Candice Crawford Community Champion Award will be presented to Mr. Harris Rosen, President of Rosen Hotels & Resorts, and the Community Heroes Award will be presented to Dr. Luis Allen, Director, AdventHealth Center for Behavioral Health.
To assure the safety of all of our event attendees we will be observing COVID-19 social distancing and mask guidelines. In additional, our venue Host, Rosen Hotels proudly partners with ECOLAB®. This partnership allows them to utilize their expertise and catalog of fast-acting, EPA-registered products to maintain heightened cleaning standards.
