
Who we are
The Mental Health Association of Central Florida is a non-profit
organization that focuses on aiding the mental health of the Central Florida
community. We offer referral services for individuals looking for mental health
care provides as well as support groups. We also offer a Guardian Advocacy
program for families looking to be involved in the mental health care of a
loved one. This program is also recommended for volunteers looking to advocate
for individuals under the care of a mental health facility.
Mission
The Mental Health Association of Central Florida supports a dual mission
in improving the mental health of Central Florida. We offer support to the
families and consumers of mental health products and services in leading the
way to consumer-driven care, equal in all respects to that of traditional
health care. We also embark on the endless mission to end stigma against mental
health. Our organization offers many informational tools to help you and your
loved ones combat the negative stigma put on mental health.
Our consumer programs are designed to support individuals and their
families who are affected by mental illness and to advocate for their rights
and wellness.
We strive to strengthen families and the community by promoting positive
mental health practices, and to achieving victory over mental illness through
advocacy, education, and services in Central Florida.

abuse, alcohol, or violence and to assist them in reaching their individual
maximum potential. Our mission is to reduce stigma by spreading the message of
